Basketball Game Preview: King's Fork Bulldogs vs. Western Branch Bruins

The King's Fork Bulldogs will challenge the Western Branch Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in King's Fork's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Western Branch has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for King's Fork against Atlantic Shores Christian as the squad secured a 64-32 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 32 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Western Branch came up short against Nansemond River on Friday and fell 76-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (65), the Bruins still had to take the loss.

Western Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for King's Fork, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Everything went King's Fork's way against Western Branch in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as King's Fork made off with a 75-54 victory. Will King's Fork repeat their success, or does Western Branch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
