Basketball Game Preview: Mitchell Mustangs vs. Wesley Chapel Wildcats

The Mitchell Mustangs will challenge the Wesley Chapel Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mitchell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Wesley Chapel likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mitchell beat Palm Harbor University 66-61.

Mitchell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christopher Stoddart out in front who posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Stoddart a new career-high in steals. Fillipe Frangie was another key player, putting up 15 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Wesley Chapel unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Jesuit 63-59.

Wesley Chapel's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Mitchell, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
