Baseball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington fell victim to Lindsay Lane Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Lions. The Golden Bears haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

John Lewis Hicks was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.

While Lexington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
