Football Recap: Walker Valley Skates Past Chattanooga Central with Ease + How To Watch

While Walker Valley put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Chattanooga Central. The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pounders 49-0. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Pounders are ranked 241st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Chase Stephens, who threw for 314 yards and six touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. Luke Hayden did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 114 receiving yards.

The win made it two in a row for Walker Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points over those games. As for Chattanooga Central, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walker Valley will head out to take on Ooltewah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Owls' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.25 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chattanooga Central, they will head out on the road to challenge East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Pounders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
