Cherokee had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 43-34 win over the Rancocas Valley Red Devils. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Red Devils are ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cherokee has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Rancocas Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Cherokee will have a chance to go back-to-back against Rancocas Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
