Tyler Timdall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, AJ Diaddezio was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Chase Frantz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Pope John Paul II always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .846. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pottstown only posted an OBP of .100.
Meanwhile, Pottsgrove was able to grind out a solid win over Upper Perkiomen on Friday, taking the game 6-2.
Like Pope John Paul II, Pottsgrove also got a great game from a two-way player: Brandon McGinley. He didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. McGinley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Tyson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season.
The victory got Pottsgrove back to even at 2-2. As for Pope John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
