Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fossil Ridge). They secured an 83-79 W over the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the SaberCats sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

It was another big night for Elli Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Leone, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Fossil Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Mountain Vista still got an impressive performance from Kennedy Spellman, who went 9 of 19 on her way to 27 points along with eight boards and five assists. The contest was Spellman's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiarra Spellman, who posted 20 points.

Fossil Ridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Mountain Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Fossil Ridge will head out to take on Windsor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fossil Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Mountain Vista, they will welcome Poudre at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.4 points per game this season.
