Baseball Recap: Slidell Comes Up Short

Slidell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Clair County Fighting Saints. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Slidell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sergio Sotillo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Carter Buchholz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Slidell's loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Slidell will face off against North Sand Mountain at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Clair County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Park Crossing at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
