Softball Recap: County Line Indians vs. Lavaca Golden Arrows
County Line lost against Lavaca back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. County Line has not had much luck with Lavaca recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
For Lavaca's part, Macie Irby and Hannah Winchester were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Irby pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Winchester struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Irby has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. At bat, Irby scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Winchester scored a run while going 1-for-3.
