Baseball Recap: Llano Yellowjackets vs. Florence Buffaloes

Llano can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against the Florence Buffaloes as the Llano Yellowjackets made off with a 13-6 win. The victory was just what Llano needed coming off of a 9-0 defeat in their prior matchup.

Kreese Whitson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks).

On the hitting side, Llano let Will Morris and Kaleb Payten loose on the outfield. Morris scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Payten scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Cash Lynch was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Llano's win bumped their record up to 7-12-1. As for Florence, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Llano will head out on the road to take on Brady at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Florence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blanco at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Blanco will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Florence surely won't give up without a fight.
