Volleyball Recap: Jasper Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Jasper, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Mountain Brook Spartans 3-0 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jasper never let Mountain Brook on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-18.

Addison Black was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs and eight aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matches.

Despite the loss, Mountain Brook still got an impressive performance from Sullivan Lell, who had 13 digs and one assist. Lell has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Jasper pushed their record up to 28-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Mountain Brook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-18.

Looking ahead, Jasper will head out on the road to face off against Gulf Shores at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Brook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
