Football Recap: Tolsia Comes Up Short

The Tolsia Rebels lost 50-30 to the Sherman Tide on Friday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sherman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trey Lester, who picked up 197 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards and one score on only five carries. Those 197 receiving yards gave Lester a new career-high. Chase Southern also helped out as he racked up 108 receiving yards.

Tolsia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Sherman, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Tolsia and Sherman will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Rebels see the field they'll take on Tug Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Sherman, their break will end when they face Clay-Battelle at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
