After a string of nine wins, Stratton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against the Merino Rams, falling 3-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Rams when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stratton took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 26-24.

Kinsleigh Brachtenbach paced Stratton's offense, picking up ten kills. Brachtenbach got some help from Camory Wedel and her nine assists.

Stratton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Merino, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Stratton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hi-Plains on the 28th. As for Merino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Fleming on the 28th.
