Basketball Game Preview: Joliet West Tigers vs. Yorkville Foxes

The Joliet West Tigers will head out to challenge the Yorkville Foxes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Joliet West and four for Yorkville.

Last Saturday, Joliet West opened the new year with a less-than-successful 57-50 defeat to Crete-Monee.

Meanwhile, Yorkville suffered their biggest loss since December 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Plainfield North, falling 61-36. The game marked the Foxes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Yorkville now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Joliet West, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Joliet West ended up a good deal behind Yorkville in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, losing 43-29. Can Joliet West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
