League recap: Rancho Cucamonga extends winning streak with victory over JW North

Rancho Cucamonga extended the longest winning streak in Baseline this week by beating JW North, 59-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Alta Loma scaled the state rankings by moving to 281 from 330 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Braves climbed the ranks as a result of besting Grand Terrace 27-0.

Alta Loma's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Hennie threw for 151 yards and Malik Patterson had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Marcellus Hunter contributed 105 yards. Andrew Davis helped Alta Loma's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.

Joe Szczepanski's team's dynamic duo of Hennie and Patterson proved tough for Grand Terrace to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Davis helped Alta Loma's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.

Upland's Tyler Hilinski and Trevor Wright led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hilinski has thrown for 980 yards this season, while Wright, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 24 catches for 503 yards. The Braves' Hunter leads the league in rushing yards with 514.

The Highlanders/Scots and Santiago played the closest game in Baseline this week, with the Highlanders/Scots eventually emerging with a 43-42 victory.
