While Denmark's victory against Waupaca wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings skirted past the Comets 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Denmark's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Waupaca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Denmark and Waupaca could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Vikings will face off against Green Bay Preble at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (146 vs. 30). Meanwhile, Waupaca (ranked 201st) will meet Luxemburg-Casco (ranked 76th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
