Soccer Game Preview: South Caldwell vs. Alexander Central

The South Caldwell Spartans will face off against the Alexander Central Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Caldwell's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

South Caldwell fell victim to St. Stephens and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Indians.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alexander Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Freedom a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Alexander Central, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Alexander Central pushed their record up to 13-5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for South Caldwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-4.
