Soccer Game Preview: Triway vs. Bay

The Triway Titans will challenge the Bay Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Triway took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Edgewood 4-1. The high-scoring effort was just what Triway needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Bay hasn't lost a match since September 20th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Berkshire an 8-0 shutout. Given Bay's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Berkshire are ranked 440th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bay is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those eight matchups. As for Triway, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

Triway suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Bay in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
