Basketball Recap: Grand Canyon Phantoms vs. Seligman Antelopes
Grand Canyon lost against Seligman back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grand Canyon Phantoms took a blow against the Seligman Antelopes, falling 96-61.

Grand Canyon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ryder Lyle, who went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. Those 13 points gave Lyle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mase Begay, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.
Seligman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Montae Walker led the charge by shooting 9-for-17 from deep and dropping a double-double on 47 points and 17 boards. Walker's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Carmelo Manakaja was another key player, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
Grand Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Seligman, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
As of now, neither Grand Canyon nor Seligman have any future games scheduled.
