 Peoria is 0-8 against Bloomington since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Peoria Lions will head out on the road to  face off against  the Bloomington Purple Raiders at 4:30  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Peoria lost  16-1 to Normal Community on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Peoria has lost by  exactly 15  runs.
 Meanwhile, Bloomington came up short against Normal University on Wednesday and fell  5-2.
 Bloomington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lauren Shuey, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Shuey has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Peoria and  nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Bloomington, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record  this season.
 Peoria might still be hurting after the  20-3 defeat they got from Bloomington  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023. Thankfully for Peoria,  Ella Holliday (who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
