Preview: Marion-Franklin Red Devils vs. Briggs Bruins
Marion-Franklin has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Briggs Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion-Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Briggs likes a good challenge.
Marion-Franklin pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to Eastmoor Academy.
Briggs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 72-45 defeat at the hands of Africentric Early College.
Marion-Franklin now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Briggs, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Marion-Franklin took their win against Briggs in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 78-56. Does Marion-Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Briggs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
