Basketball Game Preview: Pittsburg Panthers vs. Stuart Hornets

Pittsburg is 2-8 against Stuart since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Pittsburg Panthers will host the Stuart Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Pittsburg beat Crowder 52-40. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly 12 points.

Meanwhile, Stuart didn't have too much trouble with Savanna on Friday as they won 67-49. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stuart pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pittsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Things could have been worse for Pittsburg, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 77-58 loss to Stuart when the teams last played back in January. Can Pittsburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
