Soccer Game Preview: Colonial Forge vs. Stafford

The Colonial Forge Eagles will challenge the Stafford Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Colonial Forge is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against North Stafford last Thursday. Neither Colonial Forge nor North Stafford could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Stafford didn't have quite enough to beat Mountain View last Thursday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Stafford have lost by just one goal.

Colonial Forge's draw gives them a new season record of 1-0-1. As for Stafford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Colonial Forge took their victory against Stafford in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colonial Forge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
