Trinity hasn't had much luck against Etna recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Trinity is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Last Friday, Trinity got the win against Weed by a conclusive 12-6. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won nine in a row.

Brynn Sommerfeld was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, Adriana Seele was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Hallee Prather was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Etna had just enough and edged out Ashland 8-7 last Thursday.
Addison Roath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Molly Harris, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Lytken, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Etna kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Trinity's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Etna, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
