Basketball Recap: Payette Comes Up Short

Payette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 76-46 loss at the hands of the Weiser Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Wolverines are ranked 34th).

Payette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Weiser, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payette has already played their next game (against Fruitland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Weiser will look to defend their home court on Thursday against McCall-Donnelly at 7:30 p.m.
