Baseball Recap: Quitman Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five matches, Quitman finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Union Yellowjackets, falling 12-2. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jaliel Cameron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Quitman fell to 5-1. As for Union, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Quitman has already played their next match, a 13-9 win against Louisville on the 26th. As for Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-5 victory against Scott Central on the 28th.
