Softball Recap: Bluefield Takes a Loss

Bluefield lost against Greenbrier East two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Beavers came up short against the Spartans, falling 14-6. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Audra Rockness was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Mabry, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Bluefield's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Greenbrier East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluefield will take on Graham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenbrier East, they will face off against Buffalo at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
