Bishop Miege gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Pembroke Hill Raiders 62-16. Winning may never get old, but the Stags sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row dating back to last season.

Jayla McClinton was a one-woman wrecking crew for Bishop Miege as she almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Kirston Verhulst was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five boards and three steals.

Pembroke Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Miege will welcome St. Teresa's Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will host Shawnee Mission East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
