Football Recap: Granite City Comes Up Short

Granite City lost against Mt. Vernon back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors had to suffer through a 62-6 loss at the hands of the Rams.

Granite City's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mt. Vernon, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite City will face off against Doniphan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Dons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mt. Vernon, they will challenge Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
