Basketball Recap: Newman International Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Covington on Thursday, Newman International Academy came back down to earth. The Newman International Academy Warriors took a blow against the Irion County Hornets on Friday, falling 52-12. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Newman International Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Irion County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

The future could be bright for both Newman International Academy and Irion County: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
