Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Comes Up Short

Temple Christian played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 49-17 loss at the hands of the Christian Community Warriors. The Crusaders were down 38-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Leading Christian Community to victory were Lyla Miller and Adelynn McKee. Miller posted 13 points and three steals, while McKee dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played.

Temple Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Christian Community, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Temple Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Delaware Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delaware Christian's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so Temple Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Christian Community, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dominion Academy at 6:00 p.m.
