Basketball Game Preview: West Wolfpack vs. Rodriguez Mustangs

The West Wolfpack will head out on the road to square off against the Rodriguez Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

West came up short against Tracy on Friday, falling 76-56. The Wolfpack have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Rodriguez has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between them and Vanden didn't end well, with Rodriguez falling 67-52. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Vikings are ranked 117th).

West will need to focus on slowing down Khamanni Martin, one of several Rodriguez players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points. Martin is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Jermaine Missouri was another key player, putting up nine points.

Rodriguez's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.
