Softball Recap: Lorena Leopards vs. Connally Cadets

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against China Spring, Lorena was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Connally Cadets a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Leopards, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jaylie Werner was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Werner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Holly Barrett was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Isabella Davis, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
