Basketball Recap: Hahnville Comes Up Short

Hahnville and Zachary squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Hahnville had to settle for second. They came up short against the Zachary Broncos, falling 66-45. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Broncos are ranked seventh).

Hahnville's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Zachary, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Hahnville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Zachary, they will take on Natchitoches Central on Thursday. One thing working in Zachary's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matches.
