Basketball Recap: Bovina Takes a Loss

Bovina's tournament run continued when they took on Stratford on Saturday. The Bovina Mustangs were outmatched by the Stratford Elks and fell 50-14. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Stratford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kooper Walden, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Casas, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Bovina now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Stratford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Bovina didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-38 loss against Highland Park on the 10th. As for Stratford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 79-64 defeat against Wildorado on the 10th.
