Soccer Game Preview: Riverheads vs. Fort Defiance

The Riverheads Gladiators will venture away from home to take on the Fort Defiance Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverheads had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the eight-goal drubbing they dealt Buffalo Gap on Thursday. The Gladiators never let the Bison get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Riverheads might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fort Defiance's game last Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Stuarts Draft 1-0.

Riverheads' record now sits at 9-4. As for Fort Defiance, their record is now 4-8-2.

Everything went Riverheads' way against Fort Defiance in their previous meeting back in April, as Riverheads made off with a 5-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gladiators since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
