Softball Recap: D'Iberville Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for D'Iberville's offense. They fell just short of the Harrison Central Red Rebels by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

D'Iberville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Franklin, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

D'Iberville's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Harrison Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. D'Iberville is set to take on their familiar foe Gulfport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Harrison Central will square off against rival Biloxi at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
