Recap: Buena Vista Longhorns vs. Comstock Panthers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Buena Vista Longhorns gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Comstock with a sharp 50-26 win. Buena Vista is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Buena Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexander Porras, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Porras hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Jaden Jurado was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.
Buena Vista pushed their record up to 23-5 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.8 points. As for Comstock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-11.
Buena Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Iraan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Buena Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Comstock, they will head out on the road to square off against Rankin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
