Soccer Game Preview: De Anza vs. Bethel

The De Anza Dons will head out to face off against the Bethel Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as De Anza comes in on five and Bethel on four.

De Anza's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past St. Patrick-St. Vincent 9-0. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting St. Patrick-St. Vincent from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Miguel Jimenez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Bethel beat St. Helena 2-0 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly two goals.

Bethel pushed their record up to 9-5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four contests. As for De Anza, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.
