Preview: Keller Indians vs. North Crowley Panthers

The Keller Indians will head out on the road to face off against the North Crowley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Keller didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Haltom, but they still walked away with a 34-28 victory. Given Keller's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Haltom is ranked 298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Cameron Rayford, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, North Crowley put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Crowley 56-21 on the road. Fans of North Crowley have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.

Chris Jimerson and Ashton Searl were among the main playmakers for North Crowley as the former rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries and the latter rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Jimerson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. Dekoryian West-davis also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

North Crowley's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Dacorien Thompson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

Their wins bumped Keller to 7-3 and North Crowley to 10-0.
