            Baseball Recap: St. Ignatius Wildcats vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Ignatius couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the GlenOak Golden Eagles by a score of  4-3 on Friday.
 Brandon Rose was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.

 At the plate,  Marcus Tekancic made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
St. Ignatius' defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for GlenOak, the  victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 25-4.
 St. Ignatius does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for GlenOak, they will take on Medina in a tournament  on Wednesday.
