Basketball Game Preview: Brantley Bulldogs vs. Georgiana Panthers

Brantley hasn't had much luck against Georgiana recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Brantley Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Georgiana Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Brantley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Georgiana likes a good challenge.

Brantley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against McKenzie by a score of 66-53.

Jayden Parks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 12 for 17 en route to 32 points in addition to five assists and three steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Julius Sylvester was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Georgiana). They really took it to Red Level for the full four quarters, racking up a 101-52 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Georgiana pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Brantley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Brantley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 76-59 loss to Georgiana in their previous meeting last Saturday. Can Brantley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
