Baseball Recap: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Comes Up Short

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton fell victim to Triton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cobras, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Gerdts, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Triton, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will head out to square off against St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Cyclones at the right time seeing as the Cyclones are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Triton, they will venture away from home to face off against Sibley East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Cobras surely won't give up without a fight.
