Baseball Recap: Quinton Comes Up Short at Home Against Webbers Falls

Quinton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Webbers Falls Warriors on Monday, falling 14-6. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Quinton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kutter Gideon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Mikey Perez was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Webbers Falls back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quinton will venture away from home to face off against Buffalo Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Webbers Falls, they are taking a road trip to challenge McCurtain at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
