Preview: Davis Darts vs. Farmington Phoenix

After two games on the road, Davis is heading back home. They will take on the Farmington Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Davis is ranked 13th, while Farmington is ranked 24th).

On Friday, Davis escaped with a win against Syracuse by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Davis' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Coleman Atwater, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Tradon Bessinger, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Ike Morgan was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Farmington's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 71-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Layton. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), Farmington still had to take the loss.

Davis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Farmington, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-9.

Davis was able to grind out a solid victory over Farmington in their previous meeting back in January, winning 65-58. Will Davis repeat their success, or does Farmington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
