Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Kennedy

Kennedy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-54 W against the Landry Buccaneers. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buccaneers, too.

Kennedy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for Landry, their loss dropped their record down to 18-13.

Coming up, Kennedy will head out to square off against De La Salle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in De La Salle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Landry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-67 win against Morris Jeff on the 7th.
