It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Plainfield East had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Bolingbrook Raiders by a score of 6-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bengals as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Plainfield East's win bumped their record up to 8-26-1. As for Bolingbrook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 21 of their last 22 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-25-1 record this season.

Plainfield East is taking a road trip to challenge Downers Grove North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight. Bolingbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
