Basketball Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

Walton lost against Marietta back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Walton Raiders fell to the Marietta Blue Devils 51-46. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marietta found their leader in freshman Leah DeWitt, who went 8 of 20 en route to 30 points and five boards. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which DeWitt has scored at least a third of Marietta's points. Another player making a difference was Kyann Senior, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Marietta, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Walton nor Marietta have any future games scheduled.
