Basketball Recap: Zion Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Zion Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 62-30 loss at the hands of the Culleoka Warriors. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

Zion Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Willa Hughes and Clara Martin. Hughes posted nine points and four steals, while Martin scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Leighla Rains, who had five points.

Zion Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Culleoka, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Zion Christian Academy will take on Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Culleoka, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornersville at 6:00 p.m. on December 1.
