San Marin came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Marin Catholic Wildcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Taylor Testa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, San Marin's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Amanda Postel, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Postel has hit this season.

San Marin pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Marin Catholic, they moved to 16-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither San Marin nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
